Kong Is King - Big frickin' Monkey news
The One Ring - Lord of the Rings news. These days not so much, but powerful in its prime. Renowned for throwing parties that cast and crew actually attended.
Raindance - London based film training and festival. Some good courses. I did one, I should know.
Internet Movie Database - Words cannot describe how useful this site is for settling "that's him from that film with thingie" type arguments. Though as the last sentence testifies, I have tried.

Entourage - Piven, Drama (J). Word.
Rescue Me - Great show AND a great theme tune.
The Shield - Craziest Cop Show ever.
Deadwood - SWEA'GEN!
The West Wing - Possibly the greatest TV drama show ever, at its peak. Now sadly defunct, as those of you who read the front page will attest to...
The Wire - Man this show is good. This could be the new greatest TV show ever, and it is still at it's peak.

Elmore Leonard - the daddy of dialogue
James Lee Burke - crime writing that makes you hungry for shrimp sandwiches. And I don't even like shrimp.
George Pelecanos - top quality DC crime writing. He also writes for HBO's The Wire.
